ContentHe was very pleased to hear of the premiere in Geneva (probably Symphony No.1, 28.2.1945), thanks him very much and congratulates him and the orchestra (l'O.S.R.); he has also heard of other performances he has conducted in France and England; thanks him from the bottom of his heart and is very proud of his interest and friendship; would like to thank him in person perhaps soon in Ervop; believes they will be in France and perhaps Switzerland in the spring; they are invited to the Sachers in Basel and will perhaps have the opportunity to see Geneva; will bring him the manuscript of the 3rd. Symphony, which has only been performed in Boston (12 October 1945); he has had great success here with the 4th Symphony; A. might see it at Boosey and Hawkes in Londres, he will certainly like it; looks forward to seeing him in Europe and friends like him; wishes him all the best for the New Year.
