Content and physical description
ContentEleuthère Lovreglio acknowledges receipt of the letter of 29.10.1970 to the theatre department of Dilia concerning royalties for JULIET. The letter does not mention payment for the work of unifying the language and musical accents and the sound of the original and French text. EL spent 264 hours on this work, as indicated in his letter of 25 September 1970. Perhaps Dilia will clarify his intentions.
Anna Marie Wurmová translated the Czech text into French verbatim. EL confronted this translation with the original text by Georges Neveux and the original manuscripts by Bohuslav Martinů. He then made the final musical adaptations himself.
