Content and physical description
ContentCharlotta Martinů thanks Zdeněk Pechold for his letter of 23 October 1963. She regrets that the Prague performance of "Studanek" [OPENING OF STUDÁNEK, ŠPALÍČEK, see DLA ID 1963-00-00c] will not take place until 15 December and she will not be able to come [the performance was finally premiered on 21 December 1963, see DLA 1964-01-11]. However, she must look after her health. It is a great honour for BM that his work has been included in the programme for the National Theatre's 80th anniversary celebrations. ChM thanks Pechold and [CSSPT] director Vojt in advance for photographs and reviews of the performance.
It goes without saying that royalties for OPENING THE STUDIOS and THE SPALES are sent to the Trade Bank. ChM would like to receive payments to the Société Générale bank in Compiègne. This includes the amount of 2,151 Swiss francs that she received from Dilie to the Sarasin bank. Josef Kalaš wrote about this payment to Charlotte. Dilia is also to tell Charlotte's wish to the Bank of Commerce. ChM encloses an account statement from this bank which she found when she went to Basel on 1 November. She asks for its return.
She also encloses a letter from [Israeli Music Publications]. She will be glad if Dilia will provide the Prague Teachers' Singing Association with material for ISAIAH'S PROROCTVY, even if it is not the [Czechoslovak] premiere: the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the work on 4 December. ChM did not know about this; Dilia is to convey her apology to PSPU director Josef Nečesané. ChM sends his regards to Mrs. Bušková.
