Content and physical description
ContentCharlotta Martinů confirms to the Prinses that she received two letters from them. She accepts their invitation to attend a concert in honour of Bohuslav Martinů, to be held on 17 January 1961 [performed by ISAIAH PROROCTVI].
She has bought a house in Vieux-Moulin, but is thinking of going to Nice for the winter because it is too damp in Vieux-Moulin. This time she would not be in Nice in the autumn like the Prinses, but only in December, because for the seventieth anniversary of BM's birth there are many concerts in different locations.
Maja Sacher informed Charlotte of her telephone conversation with the Prinses. ChM thanked the couple for their interest. She was very ill in April, prior to her departure for the USA and Canada, and is still finding it difficult to recover from the loss of her husband.
ChM invites the Prinses to visit her when they go to Côte d'Azur. Vieux Moulin lies between Compiègne and her home village of Pierrefonds. BM had a positive relationship with Pierrefonds and composed Field Mass there.
