Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů regrets that he will not be able to attend the Concert for Violin and Orchestra No. 2 the following day. He promises to be there at least in his thoughts and sends his greetings to violinist Mischa Elman. He would also like to send the score of SYMPHONY No. 5. Due to an injury he has to lie down, so writing is difficult for him. However, he hopes to be able to meet Sergei Koussevitzky the following week.
