Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů that he has received two letters from her. He is glad that she is staying at the Esplanade Hotel. He mentions that [Hella] Sachs is also going to Prague and will be staying at the same hotel.
BM received a childish letter from [Miloš] Šafránek, where he spoke mainly about Germaine [Leroux]. He has no information from Marie [Martinu] from Žamberk.
ChM is certainly looking forward to the arrival of Charles [Munch]. He assumes that ChM has not had a chance to talk to [Ernest] Ansermet about SYMPHONY No. 5, so BM will write to him after getting information from CM. BM is pleased that Charles [Novak] is taking good care of ChM. CM wrote to him that something happened between [Paul] Sacher and the [Czech] Philharmonic. Also, he didn't get any criticism of DVOJKONCERT. He asks ChM to ask [Karel] Šebánek about this.
BM mentions that the next winter in Europe will be hard and at the same time staying in New York is not very appealing to him. Doctor advised him to wait to make a decision.
