Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů that he has received another letter from Žamberk and is glad that ChM is back in Prague. He describes that the noise from the street has stopped and he feels better, but he is not satisfied with the work [CONCERT FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 3]. He plans to see a doctor to explore travel options and mentions that the trip to Boston went well.
BM still has no clear plans but hopes to arrive soon. He is considering staying in Europe; he would like a villa with a garden. Asks ChM to find out what the situation is like in Prague, especially regarding the [Prague Spring] Festival and the availability of necessities.
BM also wants to know if ChM has seen the Löwenbachs. He asks if Charles [Munch] is in Prague and if he would like to perform any of ChM's compositions - perhaps Symphony No. 5 or Symphony No. 3. [Ernest] Ansermet is expected to perform Symphony No. 5, but this is not yet certain. [Sergei] Koussevitzky has nothing to offer, he will probably repeat SYMOPHONY No. 1.
BM asked [Karel] Šebánek to send the score of the Field Mass. Asks ChM to find out [Václav] Talich's plans.
