Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks Adriano Lualdi for the invitation to the Biennale di Venezia. However, he regrets to announce that he has already booked all the premieres of his works for next year. He therefore offers his composition CONCERTINO FOR PIANO TRIO AND BRAIN. ORCHESTRA, which has not yet been performed in Italy. For the performance he recommends the ensemble Trio Hongrois, whose address he credits in the letter. He also refers to the Schott publishing house which published this work. Alternatively, he also suggests THE SQUIRREL SEXTET, which won the Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge Prize. BM concludes the letter by adding that he will be happy to reserve some premiere of his work for next year if neither of the proposed solutions suit Lualdi.
