Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů that she should see a sleep specialist in Prague whom Anna [Masarykova] might recommend. He informs her that he has received a cheque [for SYMPHONY No. 5] from the Ministry at the Consulate. He met with Rudolf [Firkušný], who will perform a composition by Brahms with [Sergei] Kusevický in Boston. BM does not have any confirmation from Prague of the delivery of the score of Symphony No. 5. BM sees [Alain] Divis frequently. He is also interested to know whether [Karel] Šebánek has prepared the advance from Melantrich. ChM may meet Martha Stern, who is due to return to Prague from Rio. If ChM is busy in Prague, she does not necessarily have to go to Žamberk. She asks ChM to tell [Marcelle] de Lacour that it is absolutely necessary to make a photocopy of the manuscript of the CONCERT FOR CEMBALO AND SMALL ORCHESTRA. She also wonders if ChM has seen Samuel [Dushkin]. BM called for an hour with [Josef] Machacek.
