Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů thanks for the letter and the criticism. He is glad that they have taken up his little comedy [VESELOHRA NA MOSTĚ] and is sure that it is capable of stage performance. He sees from the reviews that the performance and reception of the work has been excellent. He regrets being away and not being able to be with them. BM replies at the same time to a letter from the theatre [Moravian-Silesian National Theatre], the royalties are to be sent to his brother František Martinů in Polička. At the same time he draws Jaroslav Vogel's attention to the merry play DIVADLO ZA BRANOU, a "sort of Czech comedia del'arte" which is being forgotten despite its success in Brno. The score and orchestral material are at the Municipal Theatre in Brno, where they can be borrowed.
