Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes about Otakar Hollmann's planned concert in Paris that he could get the Czech colony to organise the concert (advertising, hall, etc.), but OH would probably get no fee because the colony is careful with money. It is also possible to approach an agency, but then one cannot count on a profit. Moreover, OH has a short programme - in Paris, concerts of up to three hours are usual. BM advises to wait and see how the situation develops after the holidays. BM will be in Prague at the end of July and October and will explain the situation in more detail. BM needs to perform his CONCERT FOR PIANO AND ORCHESTRA No. 1 as soon as possible, as the performance is commissioned to [Jan] Heřman and BM needs to correct the material for the performance in Cologne next season, and Universal Edition has offered BM a contract and they want to hear the piece as well. Therefore he would prefer to perform the CONCERT first and then the DIVERTIMENTO. DIVERTIMENTO could be performed by one of the [Czech Philharmonic] guest conductors ([Jaroslav] Křička, [Karel Boleslav] Jirák) while [Václav] Talich is travelling or it could be performed outside the subscription concerts. OH is to write the result of his meeting with Talich.
