Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů apologizes for his last letter to Karel Novák, he is still irritated. Charlotte Martinů is coming to Prague for the Prague Spring Festival on 20 April [1947] and asks to be taken care of and advised about her stay. The Czech Philharmonic could entertain her at their expense and Melantrich will give her some advance. Anna Masarykova invited her to stay with her. ChM will be in France until 15 April in Vieux Moulin and Paris. BM regrets that he cannot come with her, at least she will arrange some things for him in Prague. He hopes they have already received the score of 5. SYMPHONY and transparencies [to make copies of the operating material], sent them by post. He can't get to "the article", he is lazy. After all, [Charles] Munch will not play the BM piece [CONCERTO GROSSO] in Prague, so they will keep something for next season. He wants to write a piano concerto for Rudolf Firkušný, to be premiered with the Czech Philharmonic. He will get machines for reproducing music to Prague. He got money from the consulate for repatriation. He plans to visit Prague in the autumn, now he is not yet doing well because of the noise. He sends his regards to Václav Müller. He would like to return home.
