Content and physical description
ContentAlfred Schlee sends a contract which Bohuslav Martinů has signed to return. It is valid for the whole world, except Great Britain, Ireland and the USA; these countries are catered for by Universal Edition, London.
The idea about the piano part [CONCERTA DA CAMERA] is a good one; he will be in touch about it later.
Is BM staying in Nice? Are the royalties for CONCERTO GROSSO to be sent to him there? AS may come to visit him in the spring if he is still in Nice.
They sent him a performance score of Jenufa, no new one was available. When he doesn't need it, he should send it to Hervé Dugardin.
They will probably publish more chamber music in the spring.
Explanation of the contract: The fee of 50,000 francs is a one-off payment and will be paid when the contract is concluded. The interest on the rental fee will be paid to BM after the acquisition costs have been paid. The pocket score and violin part will be issued first, later the large score and material. BM is to be supplemented by a company representing it in respect of operating rights.
