Content and physical description
ContentAlfred Schlee is happy that Bohuslav Martinů signed the contract. Since Martinů is a member of ASCAP, his fees will be paid by the company. BMI or AMP has the US performance rights, but this will be handled by Universal Edition, London.
The contract has been forwarded to the National Bank for authorization. They will send BM a royalty of 50,000 francs within a month.
He is sorry that BM is ill and wishes him a speedy recovery.
Does he understand that BM wants to simplify the piano part [in CONCERTO DA CAMERA] in places where the piano and violin play together? The best thing to do, BM writes, is to request the score from Boosey & Hawkes and make the corrections himself. Anyway, AS is waiting for the report. In the meantime, he'll prepare a solo part, which probably won't be altered.
