Content and physical description
Content[Only part of the letter concerns the Martins:] If Zirato comes there [to Stockbridge], he and Rodzinsky will discuss Martinů's SYMPHONY No. 2. Rodzinsky would like to perform it in the same week that Koussevitzky and Elman perform Martinů's CONCERT FOR VIOLINS AND ORCHESTRA No. 2. They would play the symphony on Wednesday, Koussevitzky would play the concerto on Thursday. Koussevitzky will not be happy about it, but Martinů wanted it that way, and they must carry out the will of the composer.
