Content and physical description
ContentAs regards Bohuslav Martinů’s SONATA DA CAMERA FOR CELLO AND CHAMBER ORCHESTRA, John Coombs has only found Betty Bean’s letter dated 19 February 1951 and the payment for the score made on 14 February 1951. They obviously had the score but it was not deposited in the library, perhaps it is mentioned in the correspondence. Charles Rosen claims that it has been returned to BM, which is likely. [Boosey & Hawkes] have waived the rights to this composition and BM can find a publisher any time, as was also the case of the CONCERTO DA CAMERA FOR VIOLIN, STRING ORCHESTRA, PIANO AND PERCUSSION.
