Content and physical description
ContentAnčerl went to the Giant Mountains for a few days. He's staying at the Hromovka cottage? with Šebánek and Jan Novák. He apologizes for not yet writing about the successful performance and recording of the Fifth Symphony and BM's Bouquet, and belatedly also congratulates him on his 65th birthday.
Ančerl looks forward to the first Prague performance of the Symphonic Fantasies, which he will conduct with the Czech Philharmonic on 10 and 11 February [1956]. He will perform the Third Piano Concerto in Vienna in June, around the 12th, as part of the 'Mozartfestspiele' with the pianist Panenka. Then between 20 and 24 June in Amsterdam at the 'Hollandfestival'. In addition, they are going with the Czech Philharmonic on a tour to Yugoslavia and Hungary, where they will play the BM's Fifth Symphony about 8 times.
