ContentThe members of the Novák Quartet learned from the newspapers that Bohuslav Martinů had undergone surgery in the previous few days. They wish you good health. Pandula also informs about the performance of BM works: the SMYČCOVÁ QUARTET No. 5 was performed in Ostrava with success, the next reprises will be on 5.12. in Kladno and 6.12. in Prague. In January they will record the 5th Quartet in East Berlin, while in West Berlin they will perform the SMITH QUARTET No. 6. Pandula encloses the programmes.
