Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů has not heard from Paul [and Maja] Sacher for a long time.
He received a copy of the score of CONCERTANT SYMPHONY [No. 2], PS apparently received a copy from Boosey & Hawkes. Was Sacher eventually able to obtain orchestral material?
BM had success with THE GREAT ONE ON THE BRIDGE. It is an opera for small orchestra and five soloists and the text is translated into English.
BM is going to go somewhere in the western US to rest. He is rather tired this year. Charlotte Martinů has gone to France, but he is forced to stay in the US because of his Czech passport.
Aren't the PS and WC coming next year?
