Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Paul [and Maje] Sacher that he has not heard from them [with Charlotte Martinů] for a long time. In New York everything is the same - hurry and lack of time.
In the USA there is interest in Juliet. BM has several piano lifts for it and will soon have an English translation. However, he needs orchestral material which is in Prague and no one wants to take responsibility for sending it to the US. It would be too expensive to produce new material.
Could the PS request this material on his behalf under the pretext of future performance? Alternatively, Basel Radio could make an official request. It would be necessary to contact the directorate of the National Theatre. Prague has good relations with Switzerland and it would be easier to deliver the material there than to the capitalist United States.
Is this feasible for the PS? Or would he advise another solution?
