ContentPaul Sacher thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letter of 31 December 1940. He is glad that BM and Charlotta Martinů have received their visas and hopes that they will receive the remaining ones. He advises them to leave as soon as they can. BM's last letter was opened by the censors, which has not happened for a long time.
The travel agency was only able to book a March cruise for BM. She confirmed to Sacher that it was still possible to get on an earlier ship, but BM and ChM would have to be on site.
PS passed on the letter that BM had entrusted to him. He also okayed receiving the CONCERTA GROSSA material and will send it to Universal Edition.
He is glad that BM has good news [from the US].
Ernest Ansermet will perform a DOUBLE CONCERT in Geneva on 22 Jan.
