Content and physical description
ContentPaul Sacher thanks Bohuslav Martinů for his letters of 4 April and 9 May.Sacher's sister Nelly Louise Frey has already informed BM that PS did not receive permission to travel to Paris, where he was to conduct a concert [among others, the Double Concerto]. He would be happy to arrange another date as soon as circumstances change. He is keen to see that the programme set is carried out. Above all, he hopes that BM will allow him to premiere the DVOJKONCERT in Paris.
PS has sent the addressee 4 scores of the DVOJKONCERT and one copy of each part for strings so that BM can have the entire orchestral material broken up in Paris.
PS is happy that BM likes his new apartment. He hopes to see BM in Paris soon. He sends his regards to Charlotte Martinů.
