Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů stresses that he is writing a completely new opera; lest Václav Talich think that he was writing about the one he had already commissioned for Brno [DIVADLO ZA BRANOU]. It is about JULIET (he describes his idea). He hopes that VT will take it on as conductor and Jindřich Honzl as director, or that he would direct it himself, and he believes it will be a sensation. Although he has other work to do, he expects to be able to finish the opera in November. The finished material could arrive at the National Theatre in March. Kurt Weill has also expressed interest in the libretto. He has no news about the situation at the conservatory. He hopes VT will describe everything to him.
