Content and physical description
ContentThanks for the letter and the Christmas present. He is sorry that VK fell ill before the holidays. He dreams of a life together. He is waiting impatiently for her arrival. He is already suspicious about the scholarship matter, but it is confirmed by a letter from the Foreign Office. He consoles her from superficial judgments about her compositional activities. The great cold prevents him from composing the "Suite" [Suite concertante for violin and orchestra]. Her letters are a great encouragement to him.
