ContentIn the matter of the VK scholarship, everyone promises to help. He is pleased with their reports of work on the suite. He has started working on the dances again, although he is having a hard time composing. The news from Prague is quite favourable for him, he thinks they are counting on him. Ruda [Firkušný] will play his piano concerto [No. 2] in London on 15 [November]. Universal Edition is interested in the ricercars [Tre ricercari]. Vítězslav's letters and the knowledge of her love are his only consolation. He has news that three or so shorter scholarships have been returned from Denis's fund, so the hope of a meeting in Paris remains.
