ContentThanks for the letter of 3 March [with Martin's proposal to collaborate on PLAYS ABOUT MARY]. He would welcome a collaboration with Martinů, he finds his ideas interesting, although he would prefer a full-length opera. The style of legends interests him, he has some preparation in his St. Wenceslas. The problem is that he has no time at all. He's got a couple of themes in the works. Plus, the collaboration between librettist and composer pays little. He proposes to make arrangements for next year. NB. He mentions the forthcoming premiere of The Palladium.
