ContentAlfred Schlee hopes that Bohuslav Martinů received his telegram from Prague. The performance [of EPOS ON GILGAMES] was very nice and the success enormous. Everyone sends him their regards. He hopes that the interviews he conducted in Prague in various places will be successful so that in the future they can sell his works in the Czechoslovakia. The plan is that they will get a license to publish, but it will still take some time to sort out all the contractual issues. Dr. Alfred Kalmus told him that BM is working on a short opera. ARIADNA? What kind? Abandoned? He is now going to a music festival in Strassburg and then coming to Basel. Will BM be there? After all, if the UE contract with the Czech side works out, the publishing house could commit to publishing all BM's works. Has Martinů made any contract for PARABOLAS? Have him send a message to Strassburg to see if they will meet in Basel at that time. It would also be nice if he could let him know if Dr. Paul Sacher will be present.
