Content and physical description
ContentBM's last letter to Frank apparently never arrived. BM wrote back to him immediately after receiving the news of the concert, briefly reproducing what he wrote. He returns to the election and reflects on the political situation (also in several places in the letter). He reports that Diviš has died, he was surprised and saddened by this. Describes the weather and his work - he has plenty of time to devote to composition (operas). He has also written a cantata to a text by Bures, but will probably not send it home because of the situation there. He has a painful hand. He wonders if Frank is an old man now. The Times has written to him about what he's doing, that they've heard there's interest in him at home. BM answered them rather cautiously. Jan Novak and Bakala also wrote to him, they said they were showing his 3rd symphony in Warsaw. He had heard Janáček play the organ (he was there - in Rome?), he liked him.
