He asks the addressee to let him know whether he has received the autograph of the CONCERTO FOR PIANO TRIO AND STRING ORCH., which he sent two weeks ago. He would like to know the addressee’s decision as to the STRING SEXTET, which was awarded the Coolidge Prize. Its premiere on 25 April was such a success that it was played twice within a single concert.
