ContentBohuslav Martinů is now finishing off a CONCERTO FOR PIANO TRIO AND STRING ORCH. and assumes that the addressee would be truly interested in it, he will send it soon. For the next season, he intends to have it performed by Alfred Cortot; he will insist that he execute it in person. This year, he is not having much luck when it comes to performances, the general interest has turned elsewhere and the work has remained ignored. He asks whether the current situation could affect their relation – which he would regret greatly. He asks about how the addressee has decided in the matter of the STRING SEXTET; Mr. Samuel Dushkin has discussed it with him – the writer is aware of the fact that it is not a commodity that the addressee would take eagerly.
