ContentThe writer is pleased that Bohuslav Martinů has accepted the offer of 1,500 francs for the CONCERTO FOR STRING QUARTET AND ORCH., and will send him the contract without delay. He will write to Max Eschig and ask him to prepare the sum for collection. He has begun dealing with the production of the score and parts and will contact the Pro Arte Quartet. He assumes that Pro Arte have not received from BM the orchestral material, and he will draw up the contract in line with it. The writer will also contact the Lenner Quartet and the Roth Quartet. As regards the SNFONIA CONCERTANTE, he is waiting until BM has reached agreement with the ministry in Prague. In London he met Samuel Dushkin, who is looking forward to the CONCERTO FOR VIOLIN AND ORCH. NO. 1.
