Content and physical description
ContentHe sends the corrections of the CONCERTO FOR STRING QUARTET AND ORCH. and the RHYTMHMIC ETUDES and apologises for the delay. He talked with S. Dushkin and will now work on "his violin concerto" [CONCERTO FOR VIOLIN AND ORCH. NO 1]. He has received a letter from Prague – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs agrees to his having the material of the SINFONIA CONCERTANTE made – yet since it is impossible to send money from Czechoslovakia, it will be necessary to do it there. At the Embassy, he will ascertain the address to which the scores should be sent. He will ask the addressee to change the title to “Sinfonia concertante”. He asks whether he can turn to Max Eschig and collect the 1,500 francs for the concerto for string quartet and orchestra. He asks whether he has received the reply from Pro Arte.
