Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů that he was wrong about the date of the concert. He sees that she still has several days to spend in Prague. It is clear to him that ChM is busy with the [Prague Spring] festival. He is surprised that she hasn't met the Mucha's yet. He gives ChM instructions regarding the score of SYMPHONY No. 5 for [Ernest] Ansermet; this should be delegated to [Rafael] Kubelík or Karel [Novák]. ChM should not deal with this, he should say that he is staying in France and entrust this agenda to someone who will go to New York.
BM describes his daily regimen and health, which is improving thanks to milk and vitamins. Mentions that he has no information about Rudolph [Firkushny], probably travelling with one of his "sweethearts". ChM is not to worry about the letter to the Beneshes, he is to give it to Anna [Masaryk]. BM is surprised that Mischa [Elman] is not in Prague, he was announced there as a guest. BM hopes that ChM has received the same letter as the previous one concerning SYMPHONY No. 3: [Vaclav] Talich does not need it now, so he could give it to Charles [Munch]. The EA concert will be in January.
