ContentAnna Marie Wurmová thanks for the forwarded text by Pavel Šmok, regrets that she did not see [Šmok's ballet to Martinů's music] Fresky. AW admires Zdenka Podhajska, she herself is not so active anymore and moreover she is suffering from financial difficulties. She may go to the Czech Republic in the summer. She will let us know if she stops in Vienna. She has just organised an exchange of conductors between Karlovy Vary and Nice. Vladimír Matěj is coming from Karlovy Vary. From Nice, Eleuterio Lovreglio and Pol Mule. Charlotte [Martinů] wrote to her, who, according to AW, doesn't seem quite right. ChM will fly to Prague in May. The book [My Life with Bohuslav Martinů] is translated into French, according to Charlotte well, but according to AW ChM cannot judge it well. The book was first translated by [Jaromír] Špaček, now [Pierre] Vidal is working on the translation. AW writes that she is disgusted by this “salad” and has no interest in it.
