Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů writes to Charlotte Martinů about beautiful weather and long walks in the mountains. The air is beautiful here, just like in Polička. He plans to write to Count [Josef] Coloredo Mansfeld about housing and mentions that the political situation in Europe is uncertain because of the Marshall Plan. Frank [Rrybka] is taking nice care of him. BM plans to visit a lawyer in Pittsfield and meet [Sergei] Koussevitzky, who plays his CONCERTO GROSSO. He wants to meet with him to discuss the recording of SYMPHONY No. 1; he might offer it to Columbia. He must also write to Maria [Martinů]. Rudolf [Firkušný] wrote that he is well.
