Content

The letter concerns order No. 12950 (dated 11.8.1952) [UE 1952-08-11] for Martinu's CONCERTO GROSSO. Universal Edition has not received the signed bill to this day. Nevertheless, they sent the requested material so that the orchestra could rehearse. UE encloses an invoice for the loan of the material and postage. UE asks for the money and the signed contract to be sent. They have already sent the score unbilled on 20 August [1952]. UE points out that radio broadcasts can only be made with their permission. They must agree the fee with UE before the concert.
