Reaction to correspondence of 18 March [1949]. It states that [Herbert von] Karajan will perform Martinů's new CONCERTO GROSSO at the opening concert of the International Music Festival in Lucern. However, the work had already been performed by [Paul] Sacher several times, including in Switzerland. It is therefore not a European premiere. Universal Edition had the score sent to the (in Buenos Aires) given address. UE would be grateful if the Konzertgesellschaft could trace the score of this work sent to Karajan in St. Anton and send it back at the earliest opportunity.
