Jan Löwenbach was commissioned by his friend, Bohuslav Martinů, to intercede with Universal Edition for his work CONCERTO GROSSO. They recieved the work some nine years ago, but has not been published to date, although it has been frequently performed in America and elsewhere (eight times in America alone last season). Perhaps complications during the war caused this? Today, however, the situation is different. JL asks UE to comment on the latest date they intend to release the work in question.
