Content and physical description
ContentInternal correspondence. Impressions from the Venice Festival. Alfred Schlee heard only the first four concerts, which did not impress him. By far the best piece was Martinů's TRE RICERCARI. Extremely spirited, skilfully composed, and all that despite the small orchestra effect. It was also the greatest success he could ever have shared. AS has long wanted to establish a publishing relationship with Martinů. Apart from works by Martinů, he was most impressed by [Luigi] Dallapiccola's opera.
Digitisation The document is not digitized. Hard copy available in Bohuslav Martinů Institute library.
