Content and physical description
ContentCharlotte Martinů asks whether the CHF has received the material for the ballet CHAX OF KINGS, which she had sent from the Eschig publishing house to the Czechoslovak Embassy in Paris. He also sent materials to [Sasha] Večtomov and Ivan Straus. She received a postcard from Moscow from [Jaroslav] Mihul. She hasn't sent her book to the CHF yet because the postmen are still on strike. When JM comes to visit her in January, she will give him the book. On Wednesday 10 December [1975] she received a letter from [Maja] Sacher in which the author says that she has received the Czech delegation. Together with IS, they talked about the fact that Bohuslav Martinů should not be buried in Polička, because that state is not liberal and because ChM would probably be happy to have her husband in Vieux-Moulin. Immediately afterwards, ChM phoned Mr. Lorence and went to Basel with her nephew Alain [Bécourt]. It was very cold, so on the way to the grave BM fell ill. Then they went to the Sachers'. ChM was pleased that the Sachers agreed that BM could be taken to Vieux-Moulin. She explained everything to Lorenzo, who promised to call CHM. But then he went somewhere and ChM doesn't know where he is now.
PS has already received BM's recordings, no need to send the piano stuff again, just the big orchestral stuff. [Klusak has not heard from her yet. The copyright for the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation needs to be addressed. PS said that Nora Grumlíková will play the CONCERT FOR VIOLINS [No. 2?] in Zurich as part of the 1976-77 season. Thanks for the report on Jan Zrzavy. Hopes that Mr Lorenc has informed the CHF about the transfer of BM's remains to Vieux-Moulin. The gentlemen from Polička will have to wait another couple of years for the composer, ChM will take this matter up with a lawyer and it will take time. What does the CHF think about this?
On 29.11. she was in Paris at the concert of the Czech Nonet, she talked with Rudolf Lojda.
