Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav Martinů apologises for the late reply, when he leaves New York, he is a terrible boy. He should have written right away that he would not accept Conrad Beck's invitation because he has a lot to do, but he delayed the answer, thinking he might change his mind during the holidays. BM writes for ["pour"; or meant that he writes "to" ISCM?] International Society for Contemporary Music, they didn't do much for him. However, that is life and BM now believes that after his rest in the mountains he will be able to write something short anyway. When does CB need the score at the latest? BM asks if CB has the recorders at the disposal, BM found them at the Trapp Singer Family. He would like to write a chamber piece for [flute] quintet with harpsichord or something like that. Would that be okay? BM thanks for the letters, he had a very nice vacation, rested well and forgot about New York.
