ContentToday Bohuslav Martinů received a letter from BKO confirming the acceptance of the first part of the music and asking BM for the article he enclosed. He also encloses a letter home, asking Paul Sacher to send it to Polička (he gives an address). He immediately replied to the telegram from PS. Hopefully PS received BM's letter of Monday 4/12 in good order, as the material had already arrived.
The copy of the second orchestra [DVOJKONCERT] was delayed by two days, BM will send it to Sacher tomorrow. He is sending the score in a parcel today. Hopefully it won't cause a mess.
It's complicated with the copyists now. BM did his best and apologizes for the delay, which was not his fault. Hopefully PS will get everything in within a week. He's proofread the first parts of each instrument group. He hasn't corrected the rest of the copied parts, but he believes there will be no errors. At the same time he sends the manuscript of the Field Mass and asks PS to send it to Václav Talich at the National Theatre.
