Content and physical description
ContentWilli Strecker is happy that the piano concert looks so good and believes that the last movement will live up to their expectations. He is pleased to inform Samuel Dushkin that Stravinsky has given permission for the violin part to be printed with the following copyright notice: 'in collaboration with Samuel Dushkin'. WS is very pleased that he was able to get this official confirmation for Dushkin from the composer. SD will only need to sign a form transferring to Stravinsky any performance and mechanical rights that might arise from this print. WS knows nothing yet about the dedication.

The printing of the piano lift may be postponed until late September. WS would then like to make it (perhaps together with the pocket score) available internationally to critics and musicians. He will put a notice in the piano lift that public performance of this work is forbidden until 1 January 1933 and is reserved for SD.

He has a composer who could compose a violin concerto for SD, with the advantage that his demands will be very modest - a young Czech or Romanian, Bohuslav Martinů, who lives in Paris and has written an extraordinarily beautiful cello concerto. As soon as he has the opportunity, he will send him the aforementioned cello concerto. In his opinion, in any case, Martinů is not unknown and is one of the most talented young composers and full-blooded musicians.
