ContentPaul Sacher is reaching out to Ernst Roth to ask him to sell the orchestral material for Bohuslav Martinů's DVOJKONCERTU for strings, piano, and timpani, which has been owned by the Basel Chamber Concert Society since the work's premiere. Sacher plans to perform the piece on November 4 in Basel and November 11 in Zurich, and because rehearsals exceed the capabilities of a regular orchestra, he asks to purchase specific parts (piano, timpani, strings). He is interested in the price of this material and suggests exchanging it for other study material. At the end of the letter, he apologizes for not being able to visit Roth and his wife during his recent visit to the university institute and expresses his hope for further contact.
