Content and physical description
ContentSacher thanks Ernst Roth for his letter of September 5 and confirms his return from the spa. He expresses his delight at receiving the first copies of Stravinsky's A Sermon, a Narrative and a Prayer, although he criticizes the difficulty of the choral part, especially due to the four-part division of the male voices. He does not have a professional choir at his disposal. He asks whether Stravinsky agrees to a premiere in the fall of 1962 and discusses the language of the performance (he prefers English but admits German for Basel).

He thanks her for sending the material for Movements and plans to use it. If Frau Weber does not own it herself, he would like to purchase it. He also thanks her for the score of Tcherepnin's Symphonic Prayer and asks for the score of his Symphonic March, which is difficult to obtain.

Finally, PS complains about problems with the delivery of the parts for Martinů's DOUBLE CONCERTO. Part of the order was not delivered, and despite attempts to contact Fräulein Ampenoff, the necessary parts were not received. Instead, they were again delivered to the Basel Chamber Orchestra. PS asks for a quick resolution to this problem.
