Mr. Bohuslav Martinu, Darien, Connecticut.
Dear Mr. Martinu:
Thank you for your letter in which you so kindly offered to send me an extra score of your Second Symphony. The score has not yet arrived, and I am a little worried that it may have gone astray. May I ask also when we may expect the orchestral parts?
The Cleveland papers are very anxious to know exactly when you plan to arrive in Cleveland. I wonder if you would be so good as to let me know about your arrival as soon as your plans become definite.
Cordially yours,
