Content and physical description
ContentBohuslav and Charlotta Martinů thank Paul and Maje Sacher for their letter and news. BM encloses a few words and asks that PS send them to Maria Martinů in Polička (gives address). He has already sent home several postcards but they probably did not arrive. BM and ChM are in Paris now as BM has volunteered but has not yet been asked, he may stay at the Embassy. It is possible that he will return to Vieux Moulin. Marcel Mihalovici, Tibor Harsányi and "Irene" [Irina Codreanu?] are still in Paris. The future is unclear, they are all shaken by current events. BM thanks PS for the offer to mediate with his family in the Czech Republic. The current tension does not allow him to work. He wanted to write to Sacher about the DOUBLE CONCERT, but he doesn't have the energy. He doesn't know what will happen with the material, neither Chester Music nor Éditions Max Eschig are ready to do anything at the moment. BM has no contact with Prague; he will try to look in Paris, but everything is confused. Would it be possible to send the manuscript to Prague via Basel?
