Content and physical description
ContentJan Zrzavý tells what he remembers about his meetings with Bohuslav Martinů. They met in 1924 in Paris. They did talk about music with BM, but JZ is a layman. BM was studying folklore a lot at the time. JZ mentions a few songs they talked about. Once JZ asked Martin about the song Parlez-moi d'amour, Zrzavý liked it very much and BM said it was quite ordinary. But then he used it in the waltz in ŠPALÍČEK, which was confirmed by [Miloš] Šafránek. He and BM were at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for Stravinsky's ballet The Wedding. BM was apparently going through a creative crisis at the time. JZ thinks that Jaromír Špaček, whose address he gives, and also Mr Lokaj, another Parisian friend of BM, could tell Zouhar more.
