I should appreciate any information you can give me about Martinů’s Rhapsody Concerto, which Mr. Veissi is to play with us. Can you tell me where and when it was written and if Martinů had Mr. Veissi or any other particular violinist in mind? If you know where Martinů is at present, it might be possible for us to get a statement about the work from him.

I am also anxious to know if the parts are in order, with sufficient strings. We need 9-8-5-5-5. Is there a chance that there is an extra score available that I could use in preparing an analysis for our program book?
