Content and physical description
ContentMiloš Šafránek regrets that he did not have time to visit Maria Martinů in Žamberk during his visit to Polička. He was too busy in Polička and could not stay longer than Saturday evening. However, he arranged with [František Martinů] to contact MM by letter and ask her a few questions. What was BM's youth like before he went to the conservatoire? MM is interested in Karel Stodola, who often sang and BM used to march around the pavement with a drum - accompanying the marches of the Austrian regiments that were on manoeuvres around Polička. What songs did KS sing? MS enquires about BM's close friend the apprentice [Stanek?] who carried BM down from the tower. MS is writing a book on Bohuslav Martinů for the publisher F[rantiška] Borová and is to submit the manuscript concerning BM's childhood as soon as possible.
